FedEx AGT&T Facility at Louisville International Airport
February 2000 marked the completion and opening of a new sort and distribution facility for FedEx at the Louisville International Airport. FedEx, a $17 billion global transportation and logistics enterprise, has leased the facility for the full term of the ground lease. The 112,000 square-foot complex made up of 89,000 square feet of warehouse and 23,000 square feet of administrative and office space, along with its adjacent aircraft ramp, processes 6,000 packages per hour and houses several other FedEx services, including a customer service center. The facility, which cost $15.2 million to construct, provides 34 truck docks to service the two current aircraft parking positions. The facility can be expanded to accommodate up to four parking positions in the future.
